Biography - Patsi Pohle
For years my dream was to go back to school and study fine art painting. So in 1999 I enrolled into the Bachelor of Fine Art
program at the Academy of Art, in San Francisco. What a great opportunity. To reach this dream. I finished my degree
in December 2001. I learned so much and am truly grateful to have reached that dream. It was hard work, but also rewarding.
So now I am painting with the knowledge that I received from this experience. It is so much more fun to be a student as an adult and what better field to be in. The art and prints that I produce are my own creations. I do all my own photography when possible and also work with some reference materials. I produce my own signed limited edition, archival prints, using archival paper and inks to give a lifelong print for the owners enjoyment.
In the late 1970's I earned an associate degree in commercial art. I have worked as a freelance artist doing graphic design work for clients such as Cummins Engine, Inc., Arvin Industries, Grote Manufacturing, Lear Sieglar, R.R. Donnelley and small
business designing product catalogs, wall charts, brochure maps, games, and logos for clients. I have learned through the years how to produce commercial art on the board and on the computer. I first started using computers for commercial art in 1990 and have used and kept up with the technology ever since. I keep current with the latest equipment and programs. I am experienced with Quark Express, Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator.
My education is a bachelor of Fine Art Degree from the Academy of Art College, San Francisco, and
Associate Degree in Commercial Art from Indiana Technical College, Columbus, Indiana and
Mechanical Tool Design Drafting, Indiana University.
